📣JDVP Orientation for our Grade 12 TVL students and their parents

PNHS-Baclaran, in partnership with SMI Institute Inc., successfully conducted the JDVP Orientation for our Grade 12 TVL students and their parents. The session provided an overview of the training opportunities, expectations, and industry-based skill development offered through the Joint Delivery Voucher Program.

We extend our gratitude to our Principal, Dr. Gerry Catchillar, for his continuous support; to SMI Institute Inc. for being a committed partner; and to Ms. Cristina S. Galacgac, Head Teacher III and SHS Focal Person, and Ms. Karla Paula B. Katigbak, JDVP Coordinator, together with our dedicated SHS teachers, for leading and facilitating this activity. On October 15, 2025, our school conducted an earthquake drill to strengthen our readiness and safety awareness. With the recent series of earthquakes in the Philippines, this initiative aims to ensure that everyone knows what to do before, during, and after an earthquake.

📣GAD Training Highlights | September 11–12, 2025

Our Gender and Development (GAD) Training: Crafting School-Based Research successfully concluded, empowering teachers with the knowledge and skills to design research-based interventions that promote gender-responsive and inclusive education.

Day 1 focused on understanding GAD in basic education, the fundamentals of school-based action research, identifying GAD issues for research, and developing research questions, objectives, and appropriate methodologies. With the guidance of our resource speakers Dr. Ken Joseph E. Clemente and Mr. Roberto R. Lizardo, participants gained deeper insights into crafting relevant and meaningful school-based research.

Day 2 highlighted the practical application of these learnings through drafting research proposals, integrating GAD concepts, and presenting outputs and reflections. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Ormon Angel T. Andes for generously sharing his expertise and guiding participants throughout the sessions.

We also extend our gratitude to our supportive principal, Dr. Gerry C. Catchillar, and to the hardworking Technical Working Group, whose dedication ensured the success of this training. Truly, this two-day event strengthened our commitment to inclusive, research-driven, and gender-responsive practices at PNHS-Baclaran.

📣Career Guidance Program Orientation for Grade 10 Learners

PNHS-Baclaran, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Parañaque City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), successfully conducted the Career Guidance Program Orientation for Grade 10 learners today, August 27, 2025, at the school AVR.

In line with DepEd Order No. 12, s. 2025 and in preparation for the class opening on June 16, 2025, PNHS Baclaran proudly held its Brigada Eskwela 2025 Kick-Off Ceremony on June 2!

With the theme “Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa,” the entire PNHS Baclaran community—teaching and non-teaching personnel, alumni, barangay officials, parents, SSG officers, and dedicated volunteers—came together with one goal: to ensure our school is clean, safe, and ready for the new academic year.

Special thanks to our hardworking Brigada Eskwela Steering Committe, School Principal Dr. Gerry C. Catchillar, Assistant Principal Mr. Gerfel O. Chan, Brigada Eskwela Focal Person Ms. Karla Paula Katigbak, and to all active members who led and supported every effort.

Announcement of Admission for the Science, Technology, and Engineering Program (STEP) for the School Year 2025-2026

Paranaque National High School Baclaran is pleased to announce that the Guidance and Admission Office will start accepting applications for the Science, Technology, and Engineering Program (STEP) for the School Year 2025-2026 from April 22, 2025 to May 15, 2025. This program is designed for qualified elementary graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the fields of science, technology, and engineering.

Interested applicants must meet the following requirements:

1.Must be a Filipino citizen.

2.Must have completed elementary education with satisfactory academic performance.

3.Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of not lower than 85%.

4.Must have a final grade of not lower that 85% in Science, Mathematics and English, and have a final grade of not lower than 83% in all other learning areas.

Application Documents:

1.Accomplished Application Form (available at the Guidance and Admission Office, and school website).

2.Certified true copy of the elementary school report card (SF-9).

3.Two (2) recent passport-sized photographs.

4.A recommendation letter from the elementary school principal or class adviser (downloadable on the school website).

Screening and Admission Process:

1.Applicants must take the STEP Qualifying Examination (SQE) scheduled on May May 22, 2025. Details regarding the examination venue and time will be provided on May 19, 2025 on the school website.

2.Passers of SQE shall be interviewed, along with their parents or guardians, by the members of the School Screening Committee on May 29, 2025 and will be rated accordingly.

3.List of successful applicants will be posted on the school website on or before June 6, 2025.
